The International Savate Federation (Federation Internationale de Savate) is the world governing body for the sport of Savate. The organization is dedicated to the promotion of the sport of savate and canne de combat. It currently has 63 member countries.[2] The organization holds biannual World and Continental championships, while their member countries hold national competitions.

The International Sepaktakraw Federation, commonly known as ISTAF, is the international governing body for the sport of Sepak takraw, which was formed in 1988 with five founding member countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Myanmar, officially based in Thailand and with its secretariat in Singapore.[1][2] The current President is Boonchai Lorhpipat of Thailand.[1] Its main goal currently is to spread Sepak takraw into 75 different countries and ultimately make it an Olympic sport by 2026.[3][4][5] As of April 2020, the federation consists of about 50 member national associations, mostly in Asia-Oceania, 13 of which are on provisional status.

In 1970 the Japan-US Soft Tennis Promotion Liaison Council was established. This is a liaison organization with American schools, and organised a friendly match between Japan and the United States for junior high school students.
In 1972, the Hawaii Soft Tennis Federation was established in Hawaii, United States. A state championship was held at the same time. Soft tennis was adopted as a regular PE event at a public high school in Hawaii.
Before and after the establishment of the Hawaii Soft Tennis Association, the Hong Kong Soft Tennis Association was established with the efforts of Taiwan (Republic of China Network Association). The Soft Tennis Association was also established in Venezuela and Brazil.
In June 1974 the first Japan-US High School Friendship Tournament was held.
