伊斯兰革命卫队（波斯语：سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی），又称伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队、伊朗革命卫队，是伊朗伊斯兰共和国的一支武装力量，成立于1979年5月5日。革命卫队的具体使命为为执行正常的国防任务。

Das Korps der Islamischen Revolutionsgarden (IRGC), auch bekannt als iranische Revolutionsgarden, ist ein dienststellenübergreifender Teil der iranischen Streitkräfte.

伊松佐河战役指的是发生于1915年6月至1917年11月，在第一次世界大战意大利战线东部的伊松佐河（Isonzo，斯洛文尼亚语称索查河，Soča）发生的一系列战役。伊松佐河河谷于第一次世界大战时是意大利战线的阿尔卑斯山战线的一部分，主要是意大利王国与奥匈帝国交战的地方，后来历史学家都称呼这里为伊松佐河战线（Isonzo Front）或索查河战线（Soška fronta）。

Die Isonzoschlachten waren zwölf große Kampfhandlungen im Ersten Weltkrieg zwischen dem Königreich Italien und den beiden verbündeten Mittelmächten Österreich-Ungarn und dem Deutschen Kaiserreich. Mit über einer Million getöteten, verwundeten und vermissten Soldaten gehörten die Isonzoschlachten zu den verlustreichsten Schlachten des Ersten Weltkriegs. Benannt wurden sie nach dem Fluss Isonzo (slowenisch Soča), um dessen Tal sich die Fronten zogen. Das Gebiet liegt größtenteils im heutigen Slowenien. Die Kämpfe in den Julischen Alpen am Oberlauf des Isonzo waren auch Teil des Gebirgskrieges 1915–1918. Während die ersten elf Isonzoschlachten durch italienische Offensiven gekennzeichnet waren, die trotz großer Verluste auf beiden Seiten keine Entscheidung brachten, gingen in der letzten Schlacht die an der Isonzofront vor dem Zusammenbruch stehende österreichisch-ungarischen Armee^[1] und die neu eingetroffene 14. Deutsche Armee zu einem Entlastungsangriff über und drängten die italienische Armee bis zum Piave zurück.

Die Schlacht bei Issos (auch Issus) im November 333 v. Chr. war das erste direkte Aufeinandertreffen der Kriegsherren Alexander des Großen auf makedonischer und Dareios III. auf persischer Seite. Die Griechen/Makedonen wollten sich – so das offizielle Kriegsziel – mit ihrem Feldzug für die Zerstörungen rächen, die die Perser fast 150 Jahre zuvor in Griechenland (besonders in Athen) verursacht hatten. Alexander strebte aber zudem offenkundig nach Ruhm und Eroberungen.
