“西气东输”，中国距离最长、口径最大的输气管道，西起塔里木盆地的轮南，东至上海。全线采用自动化控制，供气范围覆盖我国西部、长三角、珠三角、华中地区的400多座城市。 自新疆轮台县塔里木轮南油气田，向东经过库尔勒、吐鲁番、鄯善、哈密、柳园、酒泉、张掖、武威、兰州、定西、宝鸡、西安、洛阳、平顶山、信阳、合肥、南京、常州，上海等地区。东西横贯新疆、甘肃、宁夏、陕西、山西、河南、安徽、江苏、上海9个省区，全长4200千米。
