Thomas John Thomson (5. August 1877 - 8. Juli 1917) war ein kanadischer Künstler, der im frühen 20. In seiner kurzen Karriere schuf er rund 400 Ölskizzen auf kleinen Holztafeln und etwa 50 größere Werke auf Leinwand. Seine Werke bestehen fast ausschließlich aus Landschaften, in denen er Bäume, Himmel, Seen und Flüsse darstellte. Er verwendete breite Pinselstriche und einen großzügigen Farbauftrag, um die Schönheit und die Farben der Landschaft von Ontario einzufangen.
