Die Zhongshan-Station (chin. 中國南極中山站 / 中国南极中山站, Zhōngguó Nánjí zhōngshān zhàn „Chinesische Antarktisstation Zhongshan“; Sun Yat-Sen-Station) ist die zweite chinesische polare Forschungsstation in der Antarktis. Sie wurde am 26. Februar 1989 eröffnet und wird vom Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC) betrieben.
Die Zhongshan-Station befindet sich im Gebiet der Larsemann-Berge an der Prydz-Bucht in der Ostantarktis, nur 800 m von der russischen Progress-II-Station und 2 km von der australisch-rumänischen Station Law-Racoviță[1] entfernt.
Die logistische Aufgabe der Versorgung der Zhongshan-Station übernimmt das chinesische eisbrechende Forschungsschiff Xuelong („Schneedrache“) mit seinen jährlichen Fahrten.
Die Station beherbergt im Sommer ungefähr 60 Personen, während der Überwinterungszeit sind es etwa 25 Forscher und Techniker. (Quelle:Wikipedia)
