Die Polka ist ein beschwingter Rundtanz im lebhaften bis raschen Zweivierteltakt oder alla breve. Taktart: 2⁄4-Takt Tempo: 27 ≈40 bis 80 TPM (d. h. ≈80 bis 160 bpm) Herkunft: Tschechien (Böhmen), Deutschland, Österreich

Die Polka ist ein beschwingter Rundtanz im lebhaften bis raschen Zweivierteltakt oder alla breve. Der Name stammt aus Tschechien (Böhmen). Die Grundform ist eine Folge von Polkaschritten oder Wechselschritten (kurz-kurz-lang) mit Betonung auf dem ersten Kurzschritt, also abwechselnd auf dem linken und rechten Fuß. Ursprünglich wurde dieser Wechselschritt in Böhmen mit einem Hüpfer eingeleitet, in deutschen Gegenden mit einem Hüpfer abgeschlossen.

Bourrée/布雷舞(法国旧时奥弗涅民间舞)/布列舞曲
Die Bourrée (französisch; auch italienisch borea; englisch borry oder bore) war ein barocker Hoftanz im schnellen 2/2-oder Allabreve-Takt, der seit dem späten 16. Jahrhundert bekannt war. Um 1660 am Hofe Ludwigs XIV. kam sie wirklich in Mode und fand von da aus im übrigen Europa Verbreitung. Als Volkstanz war und ist sie in verschiedenen Regionen Zentralfrankreichs verbreitet (Auvergne, Berry, Morvan-Nivernais, Bourbonnais, Limousin).

Blues als Tanz gehört zum Jazz Dance und zum Lindy Hop und teilt mit ihnen den afrikanischen Ursprung. Aber im Blues Dance wird weniger Betonung darauf gelegt, die Bewegungen auf den Zählschlag genau zu beginnen. Walking (Gehen) ist der Grundschritt. Die Tänzer können auf der Stelle gehen oder in jede Richtung.
