火星气候探测者号（Mars Climate Orbiter）是美国国家航空航天局的火星探测卫星，也是火星探测98计划的一部份（火星极地着陆者号为另一个探测火星的任务），于1999年发射升空。天文学家计划利用火星气候探测者号来研究火星大气层、火星气候及火星地表，并帮助火星极地着陆者号与地球来通讯。不过火星气候探测者号后来在1999年9月23日在进入火星轨道的过程中失去联络，最终任务失败。
