沃尔特·雷利爵士（Sir Walter Raleigh，1552年－1618年10月29日），英国伊丽莎白时代著名的冒险家。同时也是位作家、诗人、军人、政治家，更以艺术、文化及科学研究的保护者闻名。他和爱德蒙·史宾沙（诗人，著有叙事诗《仙后》）及克里斯多福·马罗（戏剧《帖木儿大帝》）等文学家来往甚密，本身在伦敦塔幽禁期间也编纂了《世界史》一书，是名广泛阅读文学、历史、航海术、数学、天文学、化学、植物学等著作的知识分子，更是名外貌英俊的男子。
