雷公山国家森林公园位于贵州省黔东南苗族侗族自治州雷山县，地跨白岩村、响水岩、雷公山顶、高岩村、水溪村、莲花等地，总面积4354.73公顷，森林覆盖率达88%，是以保护秃杉等珍稀生物为主的自然资源（包括水源涵养，旅游）并具有综合经营效益的亚热带山地森林生态公园。

雷公山国家森林公园是镶嵌在贵州高原上的一颗绿色明珠，是一块集靠科考与生态旅游为一体不可多得的宝地，是贵州东部极具生态旅游开发潜力的处女地，是研究中亚热带森林生态系统、研究秃杉天然群落等的理想基地，深受中外专家学者和游客的青睐。
