大奉国寺，位于塞北佛乡、神奇义县古城东街，始建于辽开泰九年（公元1020年），是世称释迦牟尼转世的辽朝圣宗皇帝耶律隆绪在母亲萧太后（萧绰）的“家族封地”所建的皇家寺院。初名咸熙寺（因供奉七尊大佛，又称大佛寺或七佛寺），金代改称大奉国寺，是国内现存辽代三大寺院之一，其标志性古建筑 - 大雄殿是古代遗存最大的佛殿，堪称为世界之最，殿内有世界上最古老、最大的泥塑彩色佛像群。
