赛江是闽东的第一大河，赛江发源于闽浙交界的洞宫山，分交溪、穆阳、茜洋三溪南下，汇聚了浙江泰顺、庆元以及福建的寿宁、福鼎、霞浦、柘荣等百余条溪涧之水，贯穿福安南北，到中下游赛岐会合，称作赛江，浩浩荡荡，出白马门注入三沙湾，一泻东海。赛江流域面积5549平方公里，主河道长162公里，其中东溪流域面积2092平方公里。
