特奥多尔·冯塔纳 (* 30. Dezember 1819 in Neuruppin; † 20. September 1898 in Berlin) ，是十九世纪下半叶德国最为杰出的作家

他到快六十岁时才涉足长篇小说的创作，当时"铁血宰相"俾斯麦刚刚以武力统一德国不久。他的第一部长篇历史小说《暴风雨前》问世于１８７８年。自此一发不可收，文思泉涌，至逝世，在晚年短短的二十年光阴里，他创作了总共十七部高质量的中长篇，而且大多以统一后的帝国都城柏林为背景，成为德语文坛乃至世界文学的奇迹，他被后世作家尊称为"老年冯塔纳".
