Die algorithmische Informationstheorie ist eine Theorie aus der theoretischen Informatik, die im Gegensatz zur klassischen Informationstheorie die Kolmogorow-Komplexität zur Bestimmung des Informationsgehalts verwendet. Sie wurde im Wesentlichen von Gregory Chaitin, Andrey Kolmogorov und Ray Solomonoff entwickelt.
