S.T.S. (auch STS; Akronym aus „Steinbäcker – Timischl – Schiffkowitz“) war eine dreiköpfige Pop-Rock-Band aus Österreich. Das slowakische Pendant „Horela lipka, horela“ (dt. „Die Linde brannte, sie brannte“) hat die gleiche Melodie. Das Lied wurde von tschechischen Einwanderern in die Vereinigten Staaten gebracht, wo der japanische Pastor und Kirchenmusiker Nakata Ugo es entdeckte und einen japanischen Text schrieb.
